Experience the transformative power of mammoplasty, also known as breast augmentation, as we invite you to discover the journey to enhance the size and shape of your breasts. Breast augmentation is a remarkable procedure that can help you achieve a fuller profile, regain breast volume lost due to pregnancy or nursing, or attain a more natural look after breast reconstruction.

Reasons for considering Breast Augmentation:

  • Improve body shape if breasts are too small.
  • Improve breast volume after pregnancy and nursing.
  • Balance a difference in breast size (cup size) to gain breast symmetry.
  • Reconstruct breasts following a mastectomy or injury.

General Procedure

During the surgery, our skilled surgeons carefully create a small incision through which they insert the breast implant, resulting in breast enlargement. The surgery is commonly performed outpatient at a hospital or advanced surgical unit while the patient is under general anesthesia and asleep. We can use several possible incision areas, including the lower portion of the breast, the armpit, or near the areola—the darker skin surrounding the nipple. The patient and the surgeon will choose the best technique throughout the consultation.

We delicately lift the breast tissue to create an open pocket beneath the chest wall muscle or under the breast tissue. By placing an implant behind each breast, we can enhance your breast size by one or more cup sizes, offering a beautiful and natural-looking outcome. Typically, we fill implants with silicone gel, although we may use saline solution implants in exceptional cases. In situations where patients have breast asymmetry, our surgeon may utilize an inflatable implant, enabling them to adjust the level of inflation to achieve optimal breast symmetry and balance. We ensure that surgery generally lasts 1 to 3 hours, executing each step with precision and care.

Recovery Process

After the surgery, following post-operative instructions is crucial to facilitate a smooth healing and recovery journey. We recommend plenty of rest and limited activity during this period. Our team will apply bandages immediately after the surgery to support healing and minimize breast movement. After removing the bandages, we will provide you with a specialized surgical bra for several weeks, ensuring optimal support and comfort. While patients may experience minimal discomfort with the surgery, we offer effective oral medication to manage pain. Complications are rare, and you can further minimize potential issues by carefully adhering to the post-operative directions provided by your physician.
